Aigoo, seems like Blackpink Jisoo’s first-ever movie Snowdrop has still been facing a bunch of u̾n̾e̾x̾p̾e̾c̾t̾e̾d ̾ obstacles so far, from the history distortion scandal which has yet to come to an end, to this copying rumors.
Specifically, Snowdrop poster was accused of plagiarising the concept of La La Land, the 2017 Oscar winner.
Too bad for our beautiful actress huh?
So in the teaser poster of Snowdrop, we can see Jung Hae In and Jisoo are captured at the moment as they leap into an elegant dance.
But the spotlight was this elegant dance pose, which is said to look very similar to the signature dance move of Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling in La La Land.
Netizens quickly noticed the resemblance between the two posters. The clearest similarity here is how their arms stretch out to form a pleasing symmetry.
The second similarity is the color purple, both posters chose purple as the main color for the background, thus making the resemblance even more uncanny.
This coincidence has quickly sparked up a heated controversy across the internet.
Lots of people believe that Snowdrop has indeed copied the concept of the Hollywood movie. They say: “It really has similar vibes to the La La Land poster”.
More negative comments be like: “It looks like a replica of La La Land” or “It’s really crappy”, and compared it to a poster of a KBS weekend drama from 10 years ago.
Seems like K-nets are literally done with Jisoo’s movie as the wave of boycott against it has been surfacing again.
So tragic. Though it hasn’t been on air yet, the first movie of Blackpink’s unnie already got off to such a greatly rough start!
At this rate, when the movie is officially released, there are high chances it’d face even more criticism.
Not only that, netizens are also nervous about Jisoo’s acting skílls cuz you know, her facial expression was once argued to be boring.
Meanwhile, it is extremely rare and difficult for so-called “idol-turned-actors” to earn huge recognition in the South ḳöŕệän acting industry.
With such a bunch of controversies, can our Jisoo turns the tables, or she would fail to satisfy the hardest viewers?
Anyway, Snowdrop is set to air sometime in December this year so make sure to keep an eye out for the upcoming release.
